Before you misjudge or attack, please give yourself a chance to know and understand
I am not here to blame you for your wrong understanding about Islam. I am here to admit I was wrong when I did not deliver the true image of Islam.
If you are only a recipient of what your media tells you then you will not be interested to listen. But if you have interest to know the truth, I will give you the two key words that explain it all.
The word “Islam” means Peace.
The first order from God to Mohamed was “Iqraa” meaning: Read.
This is Islam in brief, Peace + knowledge.
If you have peace and forgiveness in one hand and the power of knowledge in the other hand then you are the master of your world.
This is what Mohamed brought to humanity. This was his message. Do you think such Man deserves to be insulted?
Jesus, Moses, Mohamed and all other prophets are heroes who fought for humanity. They are the source of all kindness, discipline and peace on Earth. The least we owe them is respect and dignity,

If you have seen bad examples of people claiming to be Muslims, please give yourself a chance to look around you.
My religion and my prophet asked me to respect people and look beyond their race and religion, and my holy book states that God made us from different races and tribes to know one another and work with one another and help each another. Our religion is not violent and does not encourage violence. Our prophet Mohammad was sent to us, he was a gift to all humanity, he was fair to the poor , he told us that there is no difference between us, and that we should respect one another, he taught us right from wrong, I have freedom to say whatever I want, however I always make sure never to hurt others. My freedom stops where the freedom of others starts.
it's a chance to read more about Islam and the prophet (peace be upon him ) therefore, you can answer yourself why muslims are angry and why they are offended sharply, Mohammad (peace be upon him ) is my beloved after God, he is more precious to me than my parents, friends, even myself, asking why?

He was always called 'the truthful and honest one'
and after becoming a prophet,
the values and principles of the Qur’an were the model for his behavior
