[Many of you may not believe it* but believe it or not your body can tell a lot about your personality. This is called the silent language or the body language. Many people may go for a job interview and don't get job despite that they have all the required certificates* did you wonder why? Did you consider that the way you talked and the way you sat in front of your interviewer could make greater impression???
You can wow people before even opening your mouth. Below some body language and what they could mean:
Hands stiffly by your sides or stuck in your pockets
This gesture indicates insecurity.
Avoiding eye contact:
When you avoid eye contact with people they may thing that you're not being honest with them.
Look in the eye:
This gives a person an aura of confidence and power. Keep eye contact* the person you talk to would feel special and connected. Breaking eye contact breaks the connection.
Hands:
When you speak let your hands do some of the talking. Hands gestures give you an atmosphere of confidence* for example:
- Two hands above the waist reflect complex thinking
When you sit* leaning back on the chair
This can give the impression that you're lazy and unmotivated
Sit with your back straight* head up and lean a little forward in your chair
This makes you look more interested* engaged and enthusiastic.
All this is learnable* you can learn to improve your body language* pay attention to it as the words you use and watch your influence soar!
