I cannot ignore this call
If I don’t open my eyes
To a splinter of light
The sun will still shine
And I will remain in darkness
This is why
In a state of loss
I know the life of the world
Only takes me away
To meet you later
(insh’Allah)
I must leave you now
I will rise to the fight (jihad)
The greatest of all fights (jihad)
I must confront the mirror
Follow the example
And step into the light
Every step away from my journey
Takes me farther from Allah (swt)
