am sorry, but thats not completely true, I mean it might be true for some people, but not for all of them. I know many young students, including myself, whose English was terrible, by that I mean they couldn't construct a meaningful, complex sentence, but after attending an institution to learn Englsih for only 14 months, out English has gotten so much better that we are now able to study in American high schools here in the US.

the buttom line is: go and sign up in an English institue, I personally recommend Amideast, although there prices might be a bit high

Thank you Yemenia for the nice lesson that you explained and I have one comment if it is OK.
When you started with the word stress I thought maybe it was much easer if you told said about word syllabic structure and how to use it.

البعض يقول أحيانا : أنا لا أستمع إلى أخبار BBC على الراديو لأنهم يتحدثون بسرعة ولا أستطيع فهم ما يقولون .
عندما تجدهم يتحدثون بسرعة ولا تفهم لكلامهم هذا بالضبط يوضح حاجتك للاستماع إليهم.

كيف تتطور و أنت لا تستمع ولا تتدرب ؟

عندما كنت طفل رضيع هل كنت تفهم لغتك الأم ؟ عندما كان عمرك ثلاثة أسابيع أو شهران أو حتى سنة واحدة هل كنت تفهم كل شيء ؟
بالطبع لا ، لكن لكي تتعلم فهم اللغة يجب أن تستمع إليها .
فكر بهذا ، أنت تعلمت اللغة العربية وذلك بالاستماع إليها 24 ساعة في اليوم وسبعة أيام بالأسبوع بعد هذا كله تعلمت كيف تتحدث ثم تعلمت كيف تقرأ وأخيرا كيف تكتب .
اختي الكريمة كلامش مفهوم وهو عين الصدق ولاكن انا امل من كثر الاستماع وعدم الفهم لذالك اظطر لاغلاق القناة .
هل لديك اي نصايح اخرى لتجنب الملل عند الاستماع.

If you want to get better with listeneing* then you MUST watch movie* espicially American movie. Why? Iit is easier to understand than the British accented movies.

Try and watch as much movies per day as you can* and you will get fluent in no time. I
