i had this idea for along time but i did not have the time to share it with u
so since its summer and we are almost done with schools and Universities
i would ask all of you who can help us in this topic to participate herelove:
in this topic each person will put an expression used widely but its meaning is not true
and he/she should correct it and write the correct expression

examples to clarify the idea
some ppl used to say
the bank has been stolen
this is wrong since the verb steal is used for things that can be moved like a purse
so the correct expression is
the bank has been rubbed


another example

after the bell rang * the boxers continued hitting themselves
its wrong since themselves is not used in its correct meaning
this expression means that each boxer is hitting himself
and what we want 2 say is that they continued hitting each other
so the correct expression is
after the bell rang* the boxers continued hitting each other



i hope that the idea is new and good
and i hope you like it too as i did

note: if somebody doeasnt know the correct expression he/she can just write the worng one and if any1 knowas will tiell us and we can discusse the reason why it was wrong and why the orther expression is correct and so on

there is away of expressing a negative act that is commonly used like..

I did not have no breakfast...
or
I did not do nothing

where the speaker wold use the negative form twice...
as in
(not +not) which is grammatically wrong..

negative+negative = positive
and we have such a grammar rule in arabic..

i really did not know what is wrong with this one
except that it need 4 punctuation
My car * the red one* is parked outside
and this punctuation shows that we can drop what between the 2 commas
this is what came to my mind is it true teacher
i really started to forget my English

the right form is My car is parked outside
It's a very common mistake mostly occurs among Arabs learners of English.

Note: Using Standard English as a measurement would be sort of difficult* because the Standard is not commonly used and the language we often communicate with is far far away from standard. It called often Spoken..

Let's try more obvious mistakes and to be honest i didn't find the mistake when I checked this sentence first.
